The S32K14x series is developed according to ISO 26262 and has an integrated safety concept targeting an ISO26262 ASIL-B integrity level. The MPC5748G is a 32-bit Power Architecture® based microcontroller unit (MCU) for automotive applications and builds on the successful legacy of the MPC56xx family of microcontrollers.

The features of the RH850/F1L are described below. The RH850/F1L is a 32-bit single-chip microcontroller with a G3K core. The key features of the F1L are low power consumption, high computational processing power, and a wide variety of internal peripheral functions. To reduce supply current in a variety of applications, a wide range of power reducing measures are available. For example, there is a Low Power Sampler (LPS), that can poll signals input to the analog and digital input pins without using the CPU, and DeepSTOP mode, in which the power supply to the most circuits of the microcontroller can be turned off. Applications The RH850/F1L is ideal for automotive electronics such as BCM (body control module), gateway, HVAC, lighting modules, and many others.

The TJA1080 is a FlexRay transceiver, which is compatible with the FlexRay electrical physical layer specification V2.1 Rev. A (see Ref. 1). It is primarily intended for communication systems from 1 Mbit/s to 10 Mbit/s, and provides an advanced interface between the protocol controller and the physical bus in a FlexRay network. The TJA1080 can be configured to be used as an active star transceiver or as a node transceiver. The TJA1080 provides differential transmit capability to the network and differential receive capability to the FlexRay controller. It offers excellent EMC performance as well as high ESD protection. The TJA1080 actively monitors the system performance using dedicated error and status information (readable by any microcontroller), as well as internal voltage and temperature monitoring. The TJA1080 supports the mode control as used in Philips TJA1054 (see Ref. 2) and TJA1041 (see Ref. 3) CAN transceivers.
